EM2N
The EM2N office, based in Zürich and Berlin, was founded in 1997 by Mathias Müller and Daniel Niggli and today employs over 80 people on numerous construction and competition projects in Switzerland, Germany and Belgium. The architecture of EM2N should be powerful and independent, must have character and may also polarize. The office has received numerous awards, including «bestarchitects», «Umsicht-Regards-Sguardi» and «Auszeichnung Guter Bauten» from the City of Zürich and the cantons of Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft. Furthermore, they received the «Swiss Art Award» in Architecture.
In Zellweger Park EM2N has designed a development with four apartment buildings, a bicycle pavilion and an art gallery. The result is a building with high architectural standards and ample space for contemporary art. The four individually designed houses are set in relation to each other in such a way that a balanced and powerful overall figure is created. Inbetween, large and easily usable residential spaces are created, which allow the apartments a variety of views into and out of the depths of the park-like open space and the Zellweger pond.
Other successfully completed construction projects include the Heuried Sports Center in Zürich (2017), the Riedpark residential development in Zug (2016) or the Toni-Areal in Zürich (2014) and many more.
